Exploro’s STRATiBase® is continuously evolving. Products are improved: analyses are revisited and updated periodically, new available data, innovative methods and improved geological understanding are continuously implemented to increase the quality of our products, and enlarge their applicability.
Easy to Use
Exploro’s STRATiBase® is available in multiple platforms, with standardised templates and workflows that facilitate ease of use.
Innovative
Exploro focuses much of its resources on R&D and innovative methods to improve the quality of our products. E.g. Exploro has recently finished an analysis linking source rock with oil and gas by the use of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). This allows us to say which source rock supplied a reservoir with its contents.
Structured database
Exploro’s massive database is structured and contextualised in consistent manner. This provides geologic consistency across the entire basin. Because of its consistency the well database can easily be used in machine learning projects to gain further insight. Exploro utilizes its own in-house routine to digitalise data and perform quality control.
STRATiBase®
STRATiBase® is a off- the-shelf yet tailor made product with immeditate access and full flexibility to our clients, layer by layer or area by area. This ensures that you have the freedom to tailor your investment precisely to your subsurface goals. These products tie seismostratigraphic sequences in a chronostratigraphic context in a regionally-consistent and continuous manner. Our products provide detailed regional maps, regionally-correlative data, interpretations and analyses of main source and reservoir parameters to help speed up prospect identification.
Geographical coverage
Covering the entire Norwegian Continental Shelf and most of the UK continental shelf. Geographically, STRATiBase® is divided into Norwegian Sea, Norwegian North Sea, UK North Sea and West of Shetland products.

STRATiBase® is specifically designed to help exploration companies in regions where they want to venture in and reducing turn-around time and risk. The consistency of STRATiBase® allow the users to compare areas and screening of new regions in a standardized manner. The provided geological framework helps companies assess prospects and licenses, provides better geological control, aids explorationist’s accelerating start in new areas and assist business development strategies.
